After six years of preparation, the practice — originally founded as Notre Design — was officially rebranded and established as VICON Engineering and Trade, delivering architecture, engineering, construction and international trade services.
VICON can also be read as "V-Icon" — our ambition to become an iconic company known for excellence and integrity. The V stands for Vision (looking beyond today), Value (delivering meaningful solutions), and Victory (success through dedication and continuous improvement).

VICON operates a joint-venture partnership with an international hospitality design and procurement specialist, giving our clients access to global best practice in hospitality design, OS&E procurement and turnkey delivery — integrated with our deep local knowledge of Ethiopian materials, regulation and culture.
It means a hotel or hospitality client working with VICON gets an Ethiopia-based team that understands the site, the supply chain and the regulator — backed by partners who have delivered hospitality projects across the Gulf.
